Homegrown Leadership: Jacob Dixon Named General Manager of the Roanoke Rapids Static

Roanoke Rapids, NC —The Roanoke Rapids Static have found a hometown leader to guide their inaugural season, announcing Jacob Dixon as the organization’s new General Manager.

A native of Roanoke Rapids, Dixon brings a deep-rooted connection to the community and a lifelong passion for the game. His baseball journey began on the local fields where he grew up playing, eventually leading him to compete at Doyle Field during his high school career.

Now, he returns to those same grounds in a leadership role, ready to give back to the place that shaped him.

“I’m excited about leading this new team and bringing baseball energy to my hometown where I’m from and currently live,” said Dixon. “This community means everything to me, and I’m ready to help build something special here.”

After his time in Roanoke Rapids, Dixon continued his playing career at Tusculum University in Tennessee, where he competed at the collegiate level before an injury ultimately brought his playing days to a close. While his time on the field was cut short, his passion for the game never wavered.

Now, as General Manager, Dixon is focused on building a team and culture that reflects the pride and spirit of Roanoke Rapids. With firsthand knowledge of the community and its love for baseball, he is uniquely positioned to create an experience that resonates with players and fans alike.

As the Static prepare for their inaugural season, the addition of Dixon signals more than just a new leader, it represents a commitment to homegrown leadership and a vision rooted in community.

For Roanoke Rapids, this is more than baseball. With Jacob Dixon at the helm, it’s personal.
